Donaldson exits after tweaking calf

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson made an early exit from Sunday's series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field, departing with right calf tightness, the team announced, after attempting to leg out a grounder in the top of the sixth inning.
Slowed this spring by a right calf strain, Donaldson pulled up lame with apparent discomfort in his right leg after grounding out to third, and headed straight to the clubhouse after walking gingerly off the field. He didn't take his position in the bottom of the sixth, getting replaced at third base by Ryan Goins.
Before exiting, Donaldson - who carried a .350/.458/.550 slash line into Sunday's matinee - stroked his second home run of the young season with an opposite-field solo shot off right-hander Jake Odorizzi in the first inning.
