Watch: Bumgarner takes Greinke deep with solo bomb

More like Madison BOMB-garner.

Getting off to a hot start at the plate in addition to his scorching season debut on the mound, Bumgarner entered hallowed territory with a fifth-inning home run off Arizona Diamondbacks ace Zack Greinke. It's the 15th home run of his career - he hit eight over the last two seasons - tying him for first all time among San Francisco Giants pitchers alongside Johnny Antonelli and Hal Schumacher.

No other active pitcher has as many career home runs, and MadBum now boasts five more than any other pitcher since his rookie season in 2009.

Sunday's 112.5-mph dinger was the hardest hit by a pitcher in the Statcast era.

At the time of the home run, Bumgarner had yet to allow a baserunner through four innings. Not a bad start to the season.
