Rangers' Hanser Alberto: Experiences setback, will have MRI
Alberto suffered a setback with his sore right shoulder and required an MRI on Saturday, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis:
The Rangers decided to temporarily shut Alberto down after he experienced renewed pain in the shoulder, and his status for Opening Day is now looking like a serious question mark. He'll be reevaluated Monday, at which point the Rangers should have a better idea of how long he'll be sidelined. If Alberto is forced to open the campaign on the 10-day DL, it could aid Drew Robinson's bid for a roster spot.
