Watch: Aaron Hicks pulls a Willie Mays Hayes, except better
MLB.com
In a spring game against the New York Yankees, Jeremy Hellickson decided to check on a pretty aggressive lead at first base from Aaron Hicks, that's slightly reminiscent of the film "Major League."
When Tommy Joseph received the ball, Hicks had slid back but still remained two feet from safety. By the time he realized the runner's error though, Hicks had squirmed his way back to first base. Unfortunately, Willie Mays Hayes' fate wasn't as favorable.
