Diamondbacks' A.J. Pollock: Returns to lineup
Pollock (groin) is in the Cactus League lineup Friday, leading off and playing center field, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
It marks Pollock's first in-game MLB action since March 12, though he's suited up for some minors contests. Arizona held him out Thursday because of wet field conditions, which presented a bit of a risk with his groin injury. Pollock may not play the entire game Friday. However, something around five innings today and consistent or increased work in remaining exhibition games likely would be enough to ease fears of those aiming to draft the snakebitten but exciting five-category weapon.
