Bryce Harper, in case you forgot over the winter, is extremely good at baseball.

Harper, the 2015 National League MVP who spent his offseason dead-lifting 505 pounds, enjoyed an auspicious start to his Grapefruit League season Saturday, clobbering a mammoth solo shot off New York Mets left-hander Sean Gilmartin on the first pitch he saw this spring.

Last year, incidentally, Harper's average home-run distance of 409 feet was tied for 30th in the majors (min. 10 HR), behind the likes of James McCann and Jefry Marte. Expect that to improve in 2017.
