The beard that shocked social media could make a return.
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Colby Rasmus had his spring training photo blow up online Wednesday due to his new-look beard.
Rasmus, however, has since shaved off his facial hair after his wife gave him an ultimatum.

"My wife wanted me to do it,'' Rasmus told Marc Topkin of The Tampa Bay Times. "I told her I was going to grow my hair back out so she didn't want me to have both. She didn't want me to look too homely, I guess.''
Rasmus said that he was surprised by all the attention his beard received and may have to bring it back.
"I liked it," Rasmis told Topkin. "I may have to grow it back now and get 'em going even more.''
