Mets' Lucas Duda: Healthy to begin spring
Duda crushed a long home run during batting practice Tuesday, and appears to be fully recovered from last season's back issues, The New York Post reports.
Analysis:
With free agency looming next offseason, the 31-year-old slugger has every incentive to put together a big campaign, but staying healthy remains Duda's top priority. He also suggested that the core strengthening exercises he's been doing as part of his rehab have improved his power at the plate, a scary thought for opposition pitchers given the 57 homers he hit in 2014-15 before the stress fracture he suffered in his back last May hindered his stroke.
