Athletics' Khris Davis: Opts out of WBC

Davis confirmed on Sunday that he will not play for Team Mexico in the World Baseball Classic, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Davis also stated that he has felt "over-extended" recently and will forego the WBC in order to remain at Athletics' camp and go through the standard spring training regimen. He's coming off of a 42 home run campaign and is an attractive fantasy option entering the 2017 season.
