Angels' Cam Bedrosian: Plays catch on first day of camp
Bedrosian (arm) was playing catch Tuesday when pitchers and catchers reported to camp for the Angels, according to Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com.
Analysis:
Bedrosian is the most interesting option to close out games for Halos from a skills standpoint, but Huston Street's experience in the role may give him the upper hand in the competition for the job as spring training begins. If Street is able to prove he's healthy this spring, while regaining the effectiveness he showed en route to 40 saves in 2015, Bedrosian would slot into the primary setup role after posting an impressive 51:14 K:BB in 40.1 innings for the Angels last season.
