Bauer bemoans 'liberal slanted' anti-Trump articles flooding his phone
Trevor Bauer, the eccentric Cleveland Indians right-hander, was traveling and had "nothing better to do" Thursday evening, so the 26-year-old decided to get political on Twitter.
Shortly after a federal appeals court unanimously upheld a suspension of U.S. President Donald Trump's controversial order restricting travel from seven Muslim-majority countries - which prompted a fiery, all-caps reaction from POTUS - Bauer bemoaned how both Apple and Twitter inundate his phone with "liberal slanted anti trump articles."
Really annoyed that @Apple and @Twitter continue to flood my phone with liberal slanted anti trump articles. fair and equal reporting? No?

When Bauer was reminded that his Twitter feed is self-curated, he insisted that this objectionable content, symbolized by a poop emoji, was leaking into his feed despite the fact that he doesn't "follow any news." In response to a follower who said Twitter's algorithms "pander to one side," Bauer agreed it's "absolutely obvious."
@wdfenstermaker @Apple @Twitter I don't follow any news and yet I still get liberal 💩 delivered to my phone. Hmmm

Shortly thereafter, upon being pressed by one of his followers to explain why he supports Trump, Bauer offered up this rationale, and later noted that he is "a firm believer in being able to express my opinion on my own timeline."
@ctown2thdoc @TetrologyGaming @Apple @Twitter I've long wanted a president who didn't fit the current political system. A non politician

After one detractor asserted that Trump is racist and misogynistic, as well as unqualified for his position, Bauer argued those accusations are unsubstantiated.
@ctown2thdoc @TetrologyGaming @Apple @Twitter now you're just spewing the same crap the media spews with no actual contextual evidence
