Edwin Encarnacion appears to have wasted no time adapting to what will be his new home for the next few years.
Fresh off agreeing to a three-year deal with the Cleveland Indians reportedly worth $60 million, Encarnacion posted a photo on Instagram with friend and former Toronto Blue Jays teammate Jose Reyes while sporting a LeBron James Cavaliers jersey.
Encarnacion had been vocal about hoping to re-sign with the Toronto Blue Jays this winter after evolving into a fan favorite over his eight years with the franchise. The two sides were unable to reach an agreement, however, and Encarnacion landed a deal with the Indians before Christmas.
"I am very happy to reach this agreement with the Indians," Encarnacion said. "I hope to help this team win a World Series."
