Kevin Costner open to 'Bull Durham' sequel
For all you die-hard baseball fans out there, listen up.
Kevin Costner, who's played a baseball player in a number of movies, appeared on "The Dan Patrick Show" on Tuesday and said he's open to the idea of a sequel to the 1988 hit movie "Bull Durham" - but there's a catch.
This time around, he wants to be the manager.
The gist of the initial movie was simple: Costner played Crash Davis, a catcher who'd spent most of his career in the minors, with a short stint in the majors.
He's signed by the Durham Bulls to mentor Ebby Calvin "Nuke" LaLoosh, a flame-throwing right-hander who's too focused on the stardom of being a professional baseball player, and not enough on having a solid career.
LaLoosh eventually cracks the bigs, and Davis is released before quietly becoming the all-time minor league home run champion with a different team.
