San Diego Padres general manager A.J. Preller appears determined to move anyone making any money off the roster.

Having already traded away Derek Norris and non-tendering six players, including Tyson Ross and Alexi Amarista, the Padres are now reportedly aggressively shopping infielder Yangervis Solarte, major-league sources told Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports.

Solarte is projected to earn $2.7 million in salary arbitration this winter, which would make him the second-highest player on the roster behind Wil Myers.

The 29-year-old is coming off an extremely productive season in which he hit .286/.341/.467 with 15 home runs, 26 doubles, and 71 RBIs in 109 games. Solarte missed significant time early in the season with a hamstring injury, and more than a week at the end of the year following the death of his wife.

With a weak free-agent class of infielders, Solarte could be a nice addition for teams looking for help. While he's primarily a third baseman, he's also appeared at second base, first base, shortstop, and left field over the past three seasons.
