Thirteen years after Steve Bartman fumbled his way into Chicago Cubs folklore, one fan at Wrigley Field wasn't letting anyone in his proximity get even close to the baseball.

When Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks induced an inning-ending pop up in the fifth, at least one North Sider down the first-base line created his own barrier, despite the ball being more than 20 feet away from the seats.

When your team hasn't reached the World Series in 71 years and you have the type of history that the Cubs do, you can't take any chances.
