Mariners' Taijuan Walker: Undergoes ankle surgery Monday
Walker underwent arthroscopic surgery Monday to remove a bone fragment on his right ankle.
Analysis:
There was speculation that Walker might undergo a procedure, but it was unclear what would be done if that was the case. Now that the issue has been addressed, the right-hander will begin his rehab immediately and is expected to be ready for the start of spring training.
