Harper honors Harambe during batting practice
Bryce Harper is taking some warm up hacks for Harambe.
The Washington Nationals star was seen swinging a bat ahead of Game 5 of Thursday's National League Division Series with a decal of a gorilla and "RIP" written below it.

Harper's thoughtful tribute is in honor of Harambe, a 17-year-old Western lowland gorilla, who was shot and killed on May 28 after a young boy fell into his enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo. His controversial death has since received wide-spread national attention through social media in the form of memes and other variations.
This isn't the first time Harper has decided to decorate his bat. Earlier in the season, the 23-year-old used the emoji "100" as a decal during a game. Shortly after, major-league baseball invoked a rule taking away emblems completely.
