Price ripped by Red Sox nation after latest playoff dud

Back in December, winless postseason pitcher David Price famously said he was saving all of his playoff wins for the Red Sox.

One start into his postseason Red Sox career and the expensive pitcher is still acting stingy.

Boston's $217-million lefty recorded just 10 outs in Friday's Game 2 against Cleveland, marking the shortest outing of his already abysmal playoff career. Price, who entered the outing winless in eight playoff starts with a 5.12 ERA over 14 appearances, allowed five runs on six hits with two walks in Cleveland's 6-0 win.

With the Red Sox suddenly on the brink of elimination, Price, who performed solidly for Boston during the regular season, told reporters after the game: "I haven't had good results yet but it's coming. I promise you that."

Judging by how Red Sox nation reacted to Friday's start, no one's about to give Price the benefit of the doubt just yet.
