Yankees' Brett Gardner: Not in Friday's lineup

Gardner is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles.

Analysis:

Gardner has not had a day off since Sept. 9, so manager Joe Girardi decided to give him one. Mason Williams will get the start in left field in Gardner's place.
