Mariners' Taijuan Walker: Strikes out seven in win at Twins
Walker allowed three runs on nine hits and two walks in 5.1 innings Sunday in a win at the Twins. He struck out seven.
Analysis:
Walker struggled with his command early but settled down a bit as he went on. He gave up two doubles and a home run, throwing 96 pitches (60 strikes). He was finally lifted in the sixth inning after allowing another run. Walker is obviously still working out the kinks with his new mechanics.
