Mariners' Taijuan Walker: Takes 11th loss against Blue Jays
Walker (6-11) allowed three runs on five hits and four walks with six strikeouts over 5.1 innings in Monday's loss to the Blue Jays.
Analysis:
He was nasty at times, as the Mariners swung and missed nine times at 93 Walker offerings. But Walker was touched up for a two-run homer by Edwin Encarnacion, the 25th home run he has allowed in just 23 starts. He has shown signs of life, such as the shutout that he threw the last time out against the Angels, but Walker has a brutal 5.84 ERA since his return to the majors Aug. 6 and doesn't look like he has turned the corner just yet.
