Watch: Betances sails throw on routine comebacker
Brad Penner / USA TODAY Sports
Dellin Betances throws high fastballs even when he doesn't have to.
With the Los Angeles Dodgers up 1-0 in the ninth inning against the New York Yankees, Betances induced a grounder right back at him.
As Justin Turner tried to scurry home from third, Betances fired what should've been a routine throw to home plate to the backstop, allowing the Dodgers' second run to come in with ease.
The Yankees would end up losing the game 2-0, thanks in part to three errors.
