Josh Donaldson isn't in Monday's starting lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays.
Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons told reporters he's giving the struggling third baseman a day off, saying "his body is banged up."
Although his overall season numbers are very Donaldson-esque, his last eight games have been far from spectacular.
The reigning AL MVP has failed to register a hit since Sept. 2, though he's managed to draw nine walks over that span. That being said, his last home run came Aug. 29.
This season, he's batting .284/.400/.552 with 34 home runs, 27 doubles, and 92 RBIs while drawing 95 walks.
