Red Sox's David Price: Sixth straight win

Price allowed two runs on six hits without a walk while striking out eight over seven innings in Wednesday night's 7-2 win over San Diego.

Analysis:

He allowed the two runs in the first three innings, then retired 15 of the final 17 batters he faced. Price is rolling right now, having won six straight. Some of those six wins have come against the underbelly of MLB -- the Padres, A's, Rays and Diamondbacks -- but he's also pitched well against Baltimore and Kansas City during the run. We'll get a better read on Price's resurgence as the schedule pivots to competition in the AL East. He's projected to start next Tuesday against Baltimore, then the following Sunday against the resurgent Yankees.
