Cubs' John Lackey: Lasts only five innings in no decision Sunday
Lackey (9-7) allowed two runs, one of which was earned, on one hit and one walk while striking out four over five innings in a no-decision Sunday against the Giants.
Analysis:
Lackey has been dealing lately, as he's allowed one or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts, lowering his ERA from 3.79 to 3.36 during that span. In addition, the 37-year-old has a 1.02 WHIP, which is easily the lowest of his 14-year career.
