Padres' Wil Myers: Scratched Sunday with stomach virus
Myers was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Marlins due to a stomach virus.
Analysis:
The All-Star first baseman was initially slated to man the third spot in the lineup, but apparently felt ill after warmups and will now be given the day off to recover from what's likely a minor issue. With Myers resting, Yangervis Solarte is now slated to move over from the hot corner to start at first base, while Alex Dickerson will enter the lineup after previously being in line to serve in a bench role.
