White Sox's Melky Cabrera: Dealing with case of the flu
Cabrera was left out of the lineup Thursday due to a case of the flu, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Initially, it appeared that the veteran was merely getting the day off for Thursday's matchup with Seattle. However, manager Robin Ventura told reporters during some media availability prior to the game that Cabrera was dealing with the flu. Cabrera will miss Thursday's game and if he's out again Friday, Avisail Garcia could take over again in left field.
