Astros' Colby Rasmus: Doing baseball activities
Rasmus (ear) has started throwing and hitting in the cage, ROOT Sports' Julia Morales reports.
Analysis:
He remains on track to return to the Astros at some point in September after having a cyst removed from his ear in early August. However, it is unclear what kind of role will be waiting for him when he returns. Presumably he will get starts in left field and center field, but his pre-surgery struggles have opened the door for Teoscar Hernandez, Jake Marisnick and Tony Kemp, among others, to compete for those at-bats.
