The Chicago Cubs messed up, and they know it.
After their newest reliever Aroldis Chapman pitched a scoreless ninth inning Sunday at Wrigley Field against the St. Louis Cardinals, the stadium began booming with the Prodigy song "Smack My B---h Up."
To begin the season, Chapman served a 30-game suspension after he was involved in a domestic violence incident with his girlfriend back in October.
The Cubs are reportedly prepared to discipline the Wrigley Field DJ who played the song, according to the Chicago Tribune's Paul Sullivan.
The club stated Monday that it's aware of the situation and will address the matter later in the day, calling it "unfortunate" and saying "it should not have happened," according to ESPN's Jesse Rogers.
