A-Rod breaks down in farewell press conference

As he sat in the bowels of Yankee Stadium on Sunday morning, announcing to the world that his amazing, indelible 22-year career in the big leagues will end Friday, Alex Rodriguez couldn't help but get emotional.
Trying hard to fight back tears, Rodriguez confirmed he will play his final game with the New York Yankees - and, likely, of his career - on Aug. 12 before transitioning into an advisor/instructor role with the club.
"We all want to keep playing forever," said Rodriguez. "But it doesn’t work that way."
