White Sox's Charlie Tilson: Placed on 15-day DL
Tilson (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day DL on Wednesday.
Analysis:
Tilson's Tuesday was bittersweet. He made his big league debut and exited the game in the fifth inning with a strained left hamstring. His stock saw a boost at the trade deadline, getting traded from the Cardinals, where he was realistically blocked in the outfield, to the White Sox, who need all the help they can get out there. Tilson has typically hit for a high average while making a ton of contact and stealing bases at a high clip in the minors, and he could eventually turn into a middling leadoff hitter. J.B. Shuck was recalled as a corresponding move.
