Orioles' Chaz Roe: Designated for assignment Friday

Roe was designated for assignment Friday, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.

Analysis:

A pair of tough outings over the course of the last week caused the Orioles to explore their bullpen options outside of Roe. While Roe had been effective overall out of the bullpen with a 3.72 ERA, his 5.79 FIP and 1.55 WHIP suggested that he was due for some serious regression in the near future. He'll now be subject to waivers but he can rejoin the Orioles' organization if he goes unclaimed.
