Rockies' Chad Bettis: Hurls fourth straight quality start
Bettis (9-6) threw six solid innings against the Orioles on Tuesday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out three and earning a win.
Analysis:
Despite the winning record, Bettis has had a middling season overall, entering Tuesday with a 5.31 ERA and 1.47 WHIP. Yet he has turned somewhat of a corner in July and now has four straight quality starts and an ERA of 3.38 for the month. However, he has walked three batters in each of his last three starts, a mark he'll look to improve upon in his next time out against the Mets on Sunday.
