Blue Jays' Russell Martin: Knee believed to be progressing
Martin's knee continues to improve, and he's in the lineup Monday against the Padres, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports. "All indications are that he's pretty good," manager John Gibbons said.
Analysis:
Martin missed the previous three games after falling in a sauna, but it appears as though he's mostly moved past the issue. Gibbons intimated that Martin will again be in the lineup Tuesday before a potential maintenance day Wednesday.
