Watch: Cardinals' Garcia surprised he didn't strike out

Forgive Greg Garcia for trying to end his at-bat prematurely. After all, it was the 15th inning.
Called upon to pinch-hit eight innings earlier, Garcia found himself back up at the plate after midnight on the East Coast, and the St. Louis Cardinals' infielder was clearly feeling the effects of fatigue.
Down 0-2, Garcia took a pitch from Dodgers right-hander Bud Norris that he thought was a strike and began heading for the dugout. Once he realized his at-bat wasn't over, Garcia took advantage of his second chance and doubled to left a few pitches later.
The Cardinals would go on to win 4-3 on Matt Adams' walk-off homer in the 16th inning.
