Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Plans to throw bullpen session Wednesday
Kershaw (back) is rehabbing at Petco Park and plans to throw a second bullpen session Wednesday, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis:
Kershaw threw a successful 20-pitch bullpen session Sunday and is now set for a second stint on the mound Wednesday. The 28-year-old hurler has been sidelined since July with a disc herniation in his back but has steadily increased his baseball activity this past week. If all goes well in his second outing on the hill, the southpaw could advance to batting practice sessions and simulated games in the near future before a possible rehab assignment several weeks from now.
