Padres' Ryan Schimpf: Out of Wednesday's lineup

Analysis:

He had excellent numbers in the Pacific Coast League, but the 28-year-old journeyman has predictably struggled thus far against big league pitching, slashing .107/.297/.179 in 37 plate appearances. Yangervis Solarte will start at second base and hit cleanup Wednesday.
