Astros' Collin McHugh: Takes no-decision in quality start
McHugh (5-5) pitched seven innings, allowing two runs on five hits while walking one and striking out six Tuesday against the Angels. He did not factor in the decision.
Analysis:
For the first time this season, McHugh has put together back-to-back quality starts. He needed 111 pitches -- his second highest total of the season -- to lower his ERA to a season-best 4.70. McHugh has only won one of his last eight starts, but he's pitched well enough to win a handful of them. Despite his recent improvement, the 29-year-old seemingly has no chance to repeat many (if any) of the numbers from last season's breakout performance.
