Tigers' Justin Upton: Finally starting to produce at the dish
Upton was one of the few bright spots in Detroit's lineup Saturday in a 16-5 loss to Kansas City, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Analysis:
Don't look now, but Upton has homered in back-to-back games for the first time all season. He's currently working on an eight-game hitting streak and is hitting .313 with 11 RBI in the last week. He's still whiffing at an alarming rate - he has 11 strikeouts in the last week as well and he's swinging and missing 36 percent of the time -- but at least he's showing signs of life at the dish. It might be buy-low time, as he's too talented to continue to scuffle.
