Royals' Alex Gordon: Likely to start rehab Sunday
Gordon (wrist) will likely begin a rehab assignment Sunday at Double-A Northwest Arkansas, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
Analysis:
Gordon now has a set date for the start of his rehab assignment as he comes back from a broken wrist that's sidelined him for nearly a month. Royals' manager Ned Yost said that he wants Gordon to get 20-25 at-bats, beginning at Double-A and then moving up to Triple-A Omaha later in the week. The 32-year-old is currently sporting the lowest batting average of his career (.211).
