The San Diego Padres have reportedly inked their third and final pick of the first round of the 2016 MLB Draft.
Kent State left-hander Eric Lauer, selected 25th overall, agreed to a deal worth $2 million, according to Baseball America's John Manuel. That's $159,900 under his draft slot.
Though he didn't play for a powerhouse program, Lauer turned himself into a household name with record-setting numbers in college.
The deal means all three Padres first-rounders - Cal Quantrill, Hudson Sanchez, and Lauer - have been signed.
