Lincecum flirts with no-hitter at Triple-A Salt Lake
The Los Angeles Angels can't wait to have Tim Lincecum in the majors, and this made them a little more antsy.
In his third start with Triple-A Salt Lake since signing with the Angels, Lincecum was almost perfect, tossing a one-hitter through seven innings against Fresno before he was pulled due to pitch count to a standing ovation.
Although it's only the minors, Lincecum is showing he still has a lot left in the tank.

After hosting a showcase in Arizona in May, Lincecum finalized a one-year, $2.5-million deal with the Angels. The hope is that he performs at a level that allows him to sign a major league deal at the conclusion of the season.
