Yankees' Alex Rodriguez: Getting rest day Sunday

Rodriguez is out of the lineup Sunday against the Tigers.

Analysis:

Rodriguez has taken back the DH role for the Yankees since returning from the DL on May 26, but he's yet to make much of an impact, going 14-for-61 (.230 average) with two homers and nine RBI. His absence from the lineup Sunday is probably due to rest more than anything else, but Rodriguez could begin to lose out on at-bats more regularly if he doesn't get hot in the near future.
