Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman: Pushes hitting streak to seven with homer

Zimmerman went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in the first inning Wednesday against the White Sox.

Analysis:

He's now hit safely in seven consecutive games, with a three-game paternity absence mixed in. Over that span, Zimmerman's gone 11-for-28 (.393) with three homers, two doubles, a triple, seven RBI and seven runs. All in all, the 31-year-old first baseman has been surprisingly useful this year, but his injury-ravaged career doesn't provide a whole lot of optimism for fantasy owners hoping he'll keep it up.
