Cessa was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.

Analysis:

Cessa has seen limited action out of the Yankees' bullpen, as he's appeared in just three games with the big league club. The 24-year-old has mostly been stretched out as a starter in the minors (five starts in six appearances), so that may be the reasoning behind the latest move.
