White Sox's Chris Sale: No-decision despite strong outing Sunday

Sale (9-1) tossed seven innings Sunday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven, but came away with a no-decision in a 5-4 loss to the Royals.

Analysis:

He was in line to become the majors' first 10-game winner this season before the White Sox's bullpen once again fell apart. It was still Sale's ninth quality start in 11 trips to the mound and fourth in his last five outings. He's also struck out at least six batters in seven straight starts and 10 of 11 this season. He'll take another shot at win No. 10 in Detroit on Saturday.
