Red Sox's David Ortiz: Expects to play against Orioles Monday
Ortiz (foot) expects to play in Monday's game against the Orioles, Evan Drellich of the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis:
Ortiz was hit on the top of his left foot Saturday, which was already bothering him, and is causing him to limp. He was scratched from Sunday's lineup, but thinks he'll be good to go Monday. The designated hitter's sore left foot would most effect his baserunning in the case that manager John Farrell places him in the lineup.
