Athletics' Jesse Hahn: Turns in strong effort versus Tigers in Saturday win
Hahn (2-2) surrendered five hits, three earned runs and four walks over six innings in Saturday's 12-3 blowout victory over the Tigers. He struck out five.
Analysis:
Although he struggled mightily with his command -- as evidenced by the fact that only 50 of his 95 offerings caught the strike zone -- Hahn was able to notch his second victory of the season. It was actually the second time in the last four starts that the 26-year-old right-hander issued a quartet of free passes, with the first occasion resulting in a loss to the Orioles. However, Hahn was able to limit the damage versus the Tigers, and will look to continue his winning ways when he faces the Astros this Friday.
