Cardinals' Greg Garcia: Continues to produce in Carpenter's absence
Garcia went 3-for-4 with an RBI, two runs and a strikeout against Washington on Saturday.
Analysis:
Garcia has been pretty hot as Carpenter's replacement, and he's gone an incredible 5-for-7 over the last three games. Saturday marked a career-high total in hits for the shortstop, and he's clearly making the most of his at-bats. He's not going to take away Carpenter's place in the lineup once he returns, but he might have a spot on the bench for him if he continues to hit like this.
