Royals' Alex Gordon: Heads to DL
Gordon (wrist) is headed to the DL, Joel Goldberg of FSKC reports.
Analysis:
Gordon suffered a right wrist sprain when he collided with Mike Moustakas in Sunday's game against the White Sox and while it was initially reported that he'd be day-to-day, Joel Goldberg of FSKC reported Monday that he also broke his scaphoid bone. Royals manager, Ned Yost, stated that they are hoping Gordon will be recovered in 3-4 weeks but it is still too early to tell. Third baseman Cheslor Cuthbert will be called up in a corresponding roster move while Gordon begins his stint on the DL.
